Why Twitter fumbling up more and more is a good thing?

Because that means more people can get comfortable with using Mastodon and BlueSky.
Or at least stop relying on Twitter so fucking much.

And you know what? I am happy that more and more people started to realize that? Even though the writing’s been on the wall long before Elon actually kept his word on buying Twitter.
…and then making it even worse, cos even before him - Twitter was still a pile of shite. But now it’s unusable. Not that it was any more usable before, if we account for many technical issues the platform’s been suffering from. And many more’s been rising since, like the post search results just mixing in whatever the hell Twitter wants now. And this is when the wall writing extruded into manic scratches all over the house. Both inside and outside the house.

And until recent events, I have never pulled a trigger so fucking fast. On both my remaining personal and my ongoing video game project’s accounts. And I have only been getting comfy on Mastodon, since back when BlueSky was only in closed testing. Then my partner has given me an invite code after the platform purchase was made.

To be honest, I am not even sure why everybody one day decided that it was a good idea to use Twitter for…
I dunno, - fucking - everything? Stuff like art and marketing for things, even though there’s already so many better options for different things? Is that all Tumblr’s fault? I don’t know.

Not that it matters anymore. But I am gonna hope that this time, people are gonna stick around and not go back on Twitter, otherwise I WILL BE CONVINCED YOU PEOPLE HAVE STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, THERE NEEDS TO BE AN OFFICIAL MEDICAL VARIANT OF IT NAMED AFTER TWITTER OR ELON MUSK, LIKE GOD DAMN—

*ahem* - anyway…

Yeah, considering how shit’s been going on at Twitter, I wouldn’t consider it a big loss, cos - again - there’s a lot better options for different things. Hell, even BlueSky can be now considered a better alternative at this point because you are actually responsible for what type of things that YOU would like to see on there specifically, thanks to custom feeds, certain lists and moderation services.

• Mutuals (https://bsky.app/profile/skyfeed.xyz/feed/mutuals) - you can pin and view this feed to see how your friends are holding up!

• I also advise you that you subscribe to this massive moderation list so you don’t have neo-nazis within a (any-number) foot radius from you (https://bsky.app/profile/numb.comfortab.ly/lists/3kn6pvyceas2r).
