Patreon & Boosty + Who am I?

So, not even three blog posts in, and I’m already promoting my Patreon and Boosty profiles. Lovely. (Don’t know if that’s a bad thing or not - it’s somewhat debatable these days.)

So, hi. How are you doing?

Trick question — I can’t read your answer, I don’t think this thing has a comment section.

So anyway, I go by the name “Colbeala Moghes”, but for simplicity sake, just call me Cole. And my pronouns are ‘he/they’, pleased to meet you, whoever you are!

But if you’ve already known me for a long time before I even started a blog type thing or anything, I don’t think it’s necessary to reintroduce myself. You know who I am. You know how much of a criminal I am. Chances are that you may also be aware of me already having set up both Boosty and, more recently, Patreon.

But if not? I’ll do it anyway, because I like you.

Who is Colbeala Moghes?

By trade, or at least according to my diploma…
I am a technician-programmer (alternatively: a software engineer). Though, I fuck up documents for a living at some restorational train station instead.

In my freetime, I either work on my game, make music, trying to start a vlog series on YouTube, or drawing FILTH under a different username.

I don’t know what else is needed to be said about… me.

I live a life that hardly gets any exciting, but when it does - it’s often ending up becoming mentally taxing for me. Like, so much so, that in the end of it, I don’t even wish to talk about what happened to me.

So, about reasons for opening and operating two monetization platforms:

I want to work on my creative endeavors full time, and at least be able to afford doing that in a safer environment. Preferably somewhere that is NOT Russia. But I won’t be able to do that without help, so - Boosty and Patreon are the way to go.

(I am sorry this is how you find out about my ethnicity, but trust me - I am more unhappy about it myself for many ever-so-growing reasons.)

Admittedly, I’ve had Boosty for a long time, but I paused further activity until this week. Mainly due to some review that went on for FAR too long and I’ve been going through literal hell. Also wanted to open up a Patreon for non-russkis, too.

Now, I am sure you might be wondering what’s so different between the two platforms. I’ve addressed that on my Patreon, actually, but let me do a quick technical recap here as well:

If we compare Boosty to Patreon - it’s obvious that for some, it’s still got quite a long way to go. That’s not to say that it doesn’t function - it does it’s job pretty well at such a barebones state. And if you’re not from Russia or CIS - the tier subscription pricing in USD is inconsistent…
cos it’s a result of conversion from RUB based on the Moscow Exchange Rate.

Or simply: both platforms are available for the sake of your situational convenience!

So what the hell will you get for either subscribing on Patreon or giving supportive boosts on… Boosty?

My Patreon has a bit more rewards than Boosty (FOR NOW), but to give you a general idea on the variety of things:

  • Your name or your alias will be featured in the credits of… whatever bigger thing I’ll release.

  • Artworks, doodles, sketches - some ahead of being released to the public, some are even exclusive stuff.

  • I might even sketch YOU something!

  • WIP content!

Already sounds good, doesn’t it?!

And that’s what you’ll be getting on both Patreon and Boosty!

“And what more does Patreon have to offer”, you might ask?

  • There is a tier that reserves you a spot to get builds (prototype builds, alpha builds, betas) to any game I would feel like sharing on Patreon. Hell, I might even share a Steam key to you if I am feeling nice enough!

  • Furry porn. The odd kind of furry porn. Yes.

If my games’ grotesque nature wouldn’t be enough to justify featuring an 18+ agegate, it’s the fucking furry porn. lol

(also - as donating to me is entirely optional - I want to make sure that you’re an actual adult capable of making financial decisions. So, yeah. While I would appreciate your generosity, please don’t forget about yourself. You’ve got food & bills to pay, too. You might be also saving up funds for your offspring to go to college, even. So, yeah. Support with money responsibly.)

TL;DR

I am Colbeala Moghes! I have a software engineering degree, but doing the wrong job. And I want to flee my home country for somewhere nicer and safer and do what I love as a 9-5 job! So, I’ve set up a Patreon and Boosty profiles!
